 Academic Blueprint

All packages are bespoke and built around the needs of the client which may change as the sessions progress. Below is an example of what an 8 week structure could look like in order to support the students needs.

Academic Blueprint.  (8 session block)

The Academic Blueprint Programme is a structured coaching programme designed to help students prepare for examinations with clarity, confidence, and control. Rather than focusing solely on content, this programme develops the thinking, habits, and routines that underpin effective revision and strong exam performance.

Across eight focused sessions, students learn how to set meaningful goals, plan realistically, revise efficiently, and approach each examination with a repeatable mindset and strategy.

Session 1: Clarity, Goals & Priorities

We begin by creating clarity around what success actually looks like. Students set realistic, personalised academic goals and learn how to prioritise subjects and topics based on impact, deadlines, and current performance, reducing overwhelm and increasing focus.

Outcome: Clear goals and a sense of direction.

Session 2:
Turning Goals in to a practical plan

Goals only matter if they are acted upon. In this session, students build a structured revision schedule aligned to their goals, commitments, and energy levels. This includes breaking work into manageable actions and removing common planning mistakes that lead to procrastination.

Outcome: A realistic, usable revision plan.

Session 3: Effective Revision – How Learning Actually Sticks

Students are introduced to evidence-based revision strategies, moving away from passive methods like rereading and highlighting. The focus is on active learning, including retrieval practice and spaced revision.

Outcome: Smarter, more efficient revision.

Session 4:
The Recall–Read–Review–Redo Method

This session deepens students’ use of retrieval practice through the Recall–Review–Read–Redo method. Students learn how to test themselves effectively, identify gaps, correct misconceptions, and strengthen memory over time.

Outcome: Greater retention and confidence in knowledge.

Session 5:
Managing Anxiety & Pressure

Exams test more than knowledge, they test emotional control. This session focuses on understanding exam anxiety, recognising unhelpful thinking patterns, and developing strategies to regulate nerves before and during exams.

Outcome: Reduced anxiety and improved emotional control.

Session 6:
Routines, Mindset & Preparation

Students develop consistent pre-exam routines and a mindset framework they can rely on before every assessment. The focus is on preparation behaviours, focus cues, and controllables rather than outcome anxiety.

Outcome: Calm, repeatable exam preparation habits.

Session 7:
Exam-Day Strategy & Performance Thinking

This session focuses on how to sit an exam well. Students develop a clear, repeatable strategy for reading questions, managing time, responding under pressure, and recovering quickly from mistakes.

Outcome: A clear plan for performing under exam conditions.

Session 8:
Review, Adapt & Lock It In

The final session reviews progress, refines strategies, and ensures students know how to adapt the blueprint independently for future exams. The aim is long-term independence, not reliance.

Outcome: Confidence, ownership, and transferable skills.
