Student Independence and Accountability programme
This 12-session programme is designed to help students develop independence, accountability and a future-ready mindset. While each programme is tailored to the individual student, the structure below gives an example of how support is typically delivered over 12 weeks.

By the end of the programme, students typically show:

-
increased independence and ownership
-
clearer goals and direction
-
improved planning and consistency
-
greater resilience and confidence
-
a mindset better prepared for future challenges
A strong mindset is a prepared mindset.

Sessions 3-4
Turning Goals in to a practical plan
Students learn how to set meaningful short-, medium- and long-term goals, and how to break these down into clear, manageable steps. Practical planning and prioritisation skills are introduced.
Sessions 5-6 Accountability and Review
Developing personal standards, consistency and accountability. Progress is reviewed, habits are refined, and expectations are reset where needed.

Resilience and Confidence
Supporting students to manage setbacks, pressure and self-doubt. Sessions focus on building confidence through preparation, reflection and constructive self-belief.
Sessions 9-10:
Independence and Decision Making
Encouraging greater ownership of learning and decisions. Students practise managing their time and responsibilities more independently and reflect on the impact of their choices.
Session 11-12:
Future Focus and Consolidation
Looking beyond school to life after education. Students develop a clear forward plan, reflect on progress made, and leave with strategies to sustain independence and accountability long-term.
