Finding Your Path

Helping young people who are struggling to find their place.

An 8-week 1:1 coaching programme for young people who are finding school, relationships, confidence or the transition into adulthood difficult to navigate.

They don't need fixing. They need understanding, support and a way forward.

Based in Dubai – working with students across the UAE and internationally.

When school starts to feel difficult, it can affect everything

Sometimes a young person who is struggling at school isn't struggling because they don't care.

They may be overwhelmed by the routines and expectations of school. They may have lost confidence, fallen out of love with learning, found friendships difficult or simply have no idea where they fit.

Perhaps you've started hearing things like:

"I don't want to go to school."

"I'm just rubbish at everything."

"What's the point?"

"I don't know what I want to do."

Or perhaps the school is telling you that your child is capable of much more, but you're struggling to see how to help them get there.

This is where coaching can help.

A different kind of support

Finding Your Path is an eight-week individual coaching programme designed to help young people understand themselves, rebuild confidence and begin to think positively about what comes next.

It isn't tutoring.

It isn't counselling.

And it isn't about telling a young person what they should do with their life.

It is about creating a genuine relationship with them, understanding what makes them tick and helping them develop the confidence, self-awareness and practical skills to move forward.

We explore questions such as:

Who am I?
What am I good at?
What motivates me?
What matters to me?
What holds me back?
What could my future look like?

The finding your path journey

The programme runs over eight weeks, with each session building on the previous one.

1. Understand Me

Building trust and understanding the young person's experiences, interests, strengths and frustrations.

2. Strengths & Identity

Looking beyond academic results to recognise what the young person is genuinely good at.

3. Confidence & Mindset

Developing self-belief, resilience and a more positive way of responding to setbacks.

4. Discover What Makes Me Tick

Exploring interests, passions, values and motivation.

5. Social Skills & Relationships

Developing communication, self-awareness, teamwork and the ability to navigate relationships more effectively.

6. Exploring My Future

Looking at different educational, vocational, sporting and career pathways and helping the young person recognise that they have options.

7. My Plan

Turning ideas into realistic goals and identifying the small steps that can be taken now.

8. Looking Forward

Reflecting on progress and creating a personalised action plan for the next stage.

Every programme is adapted around the individual. There is no prescribed route because every young person is different.

Success doesn't always look like a report card

For one young person, success might mean returning to school with greater confidence.

For another, it might mean developing the social skills they need to reconnect with other students.

For someone else, it might be discovering a genuine passion for something they had never considered before.

It might be learning how to manage frustration.

It might be making a friend.

It might be getting out of bed with a sense of purpose.

Or it might simply be beginning to believe that they can have a future that feels right for them.

Sometimes the first step forward isn't academic.

It's believing in yourself again.

Learning doesn't have to look the same

A key part of the programme is helping young people experience success outside the traditional classroom. Where appropriate, students may be introduced to activities, sports, creative experiences or other opportunities that allow them to discover new interests and build positive relationships.

Sometimes discovering that you are good at something outside school can be the first step towards believing that you can be good at something inside it too.

Who is this programme for?

Finding Your Path may be particularly helpful for young people who:

  • Have struggled to engage with school

  • Have lost confidence or motivation

  • Find school routines or expectations difficult

  • Are experiencing challenges with behaviour or decision-making

  • Are struggling to develop positive relationships

  • Are unsure where they fit

  • Have strengths that aren't being reflected in their academic results

  • Are approaching an important transition or change

  • Are uncertain about what they want to do next

  • Would benefit from a trusted adult outside their immediate family or school

You don't need to know exactly what the problem is before you get in touch.

Sometimes the first step is simply having a converation.

Working together

Young people rarely exist in isolation.

Where appropriate, I work alongside parents, schools and other professionals involved in a young persons life.

The aim isn't to create another person telling the students what they should be doing.

It is to create a supportive network around them, with the young person remaining at the center.

Why me?

25 years working with young people

I've spent more than 25 years working in education, including teaching, pastoral care and senior leadership across primary and secondary education.

I've worked with thousands of young people, supported families through difficult situations and spent much of my career trying to understand what sits behind a student's behaviour, motivation and performance.

Elite Mindset Teacher brings that experience together with my work as a life and performance coach.

My role isn't to judge a young person by where they are today. It's to help them understand where they could go next.
